The Joys of Living in Parker

As I take on my exciting new role as Parker Lifestyle’s editor,
I think of all the reasons that Parker is home. We have amazing people who contribute so much of themselves each day, and in the end, call our town home. I think about what attracted me to Parker and how I still feel a sense of calm each day when I arrive home and settle in with our family each evening. There is nothing like the comforts of home in Colorado.

When I was able to realize my dream of home ownership, I felt such a sense of accomplishment and purpose as I immediately wanted to transform our house into our home. I feel a great importance and appreciation for all the things that surround our home and appreciate the collective comfort of loving where I live. As the seasons change and the weather warms, many of us will begin those pesky projects that we have been putting off all winter long. Whether it is cleaning and reorganizing the garage, yet again, or a large project around the home, I would like to remind you to think of Parker and our local businesses first. You might just realize something about your neighbor or business that you did not know previously.

In this issue, we have the pleasure of highlighting some amazing local resources that showcase how great it is to be a part of this community. There are many wonderful places to visit and learn about the history that makes this town what it is today. We take a step back and explore The Schoolhouse renovation project and the artifacts that have been discovered.

We also hear from Kyle Ash, owner of Aspen Falls Custom Design and Landscape, on how to protect your investment when starting any renovation project, as well as local Realtor® Chad Hines of Your Castle Real Estate who offers tips about listing your home.

Each day that I meet more people in our community and absorb more of our town’s culture and history, I feel truly inspired. We want to continue to explore more resources and showcase the arts, culture and glorious resources that we are privileged to have right outside our doorsteps.  We hope that you will find as must inspiration as we do every day and enjoy this issue as we spruce up our homes and enjoy this magnificent time of year.
