Toll Brothers at Inspiration redefines the 55+ active lifestyle community
Ask Sales Manager Leanne McGuire what makes the active lifestyle 55+ community Toll Brothers at Inspiration so special and she doesn’t hesitate.
“I like to say it’s a lot of like-minded people that have come together at the same stage in their lives,” says McGuire. “They want to simplify—they’re not so much downsizing as ‘right sizing’ their homes to allow for more of an actual lifestyle, and to not be so tied to their homes,” McGuire says.
Inspiration is a young demographic relative to what a “retirement community” might be.
“We’re just empty-nesters—half our population is still working,” says McGuire.
And by all accounts, the “active lifestyle” is more than just a catch-phrase. “The fitness, the health—you get all those opportunities though the lifestyle at Inspiration. The Twenty Mile House is our resort-style community center—our buyers like to call it that,” McGuire beams.
The center itself, a beautiful craftsman-style building with soaring ceilings and colorful, cozy meeting nooks, has ample fitness apparatuses, an outdoor yoga garden, ongoing DIY craft programs (some even include the grandkids) and over 15 clubs run through the association by leaders within the community.
Community Director Kaylin Hicks coordinates the events and activities for the 55+ active lifestyle community at Inspiration which include craft brews, “Gaze and Graze” astronomy parties, scheduled speakers on topics like financial planning, travel clubs and themed dinner clubs.
“What sets us apart—our community doesn’t do the average events, they’re all really unique,” says Hicks. “I’m the connector; I manage communication websites and connect individuals. Over half of them have moved here for their grandchildren, and they don’t really know anyone else.”
At times, it seems Hicks has done her job almost too well. “It’s amazing—I don’t even have to be there to create events to get people connected. They start their own groups,” she says. Case in point: a new hiking group that’s in the works.
One advantage of building with Toll Brothers in the active adult community at Inspiration is that, along with an abundant selection of ranch style homes (they offer a whopping 14 floor plans), you get a luxury home and a luxury building process.
“We hold your hand through the build. We stay in touch with our buyers on weekly phone calls,” says McGuire. “We maintain that communication and let them be a part of it, which is fun for them —and comforting, if you will. That’s a big part of building with Toll Brothers,” she explains.
“In most cases, as they come into the community, they don’t realize that they need a complete change,” she reveals. “But as they get deeper into it, they realize it’s different, and different in a great way.”
