BMW X5 xDrive40e
The 2018 BMW X5 xDrive40e has revved up the luxury hybrid market. It’s a BMW—which means yes, it’s a pleasure to drive—but it’s also a fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid.
“This vehicle doesn’t sacrifice what BMW is known for. It’s still really fun to drive and has the performance and safety features expected in a BMW,” James Kurtenbach, marketing director at Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch, says.
James says that, although demand for hybrids is high, some buyers shy away because of the stigma that they are small, slow and need special charging stations. The xDrive40e casts these misconceptions to the side of the road.
