December is a time for revelry. Amidst the parties, food, drinks, last-minute shopping and family gatherings, even the jolliest soul can become tired and stressed. Take time this season to reflect on what made the year special and continue time-honored traditions or create new ones. Your kids and grandkids will cherish the memories.

As publishers of Parker Lifestyle, time has taken on a new meaning for us. Working two months ahead on each issue puts a whole new and very literal meaning on the adage “time flies.” It is easy to get caught up in the frenetic pace of what we do. Then we get the phone call from a reader we have never met or a hug and a thank-you from a community partner and we stop and savor the moment. At Parker Lifestyle, our goal is to inspire our community. In the last nine months, we have recounted stories of amazing people and business owners. In return, we have been blessed with lasting friendships and a tight-knit community that inspires us more than we ever could have imagined.

Parker provides traditions we can share together. Walk down Mainstreet and Pikes Peak Drive during this glorious season, and soak in the nostalgic sights and sounds that make living here so special. You can pick up some unique or locally crafted gifts or holiday decor along the way. The memories you make with your family and community will last long after the decorations are gone. So revel in the festivities and also snuggle by the fire with those you love to bask in the magic of the winter season.

However you celebrate, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, happiest of holidays and a prosperous new year, Parker.

With gratitude and love,

Jeni and Joan
