Dr. Devin Rentz Focuses on Bringing Smiles to the Parker Community Through Honesty and Education

Dr. Devin Rentz, private practice dentist at Stonegate Dental Care in Parker, says his business is different from other practices because he and his team focus on family values. 

“Most patients comment on how homey the feel is,” he says.

Devin and his wife of almost 18 years, Julie Rentz, work together at Stonegate to ensure their associates feel as if everyone is family. They focus on creating a fun environment by posting dental tips and laughable videos to their Facebook page, giving their hygienists and other associates an opportunity to share their knowledge in an entertaining way. 

“We try to make it so that everybody enjoys coming to work,” Devin says.

Devin says he was inspired by his mother to pursue dentistry and he realized early on it was what he was meant to do. 

“I have an artistic side of me, and I like working with people, so dentistry is the perfect blend for me,” he says.

The Rentz bought Stonegate Dental in 2013. Their goal is to create a safe, warm environment at Stonegate Dental Care, and they say they are determined to make patients a priority. Devin says honesty and education are their overriding values.

“My philosophy is education for patients; make them feel like they’ve gotten all the information that they need to make an informed decision,” Devin says.

Devin and Julie, who have four children, moved from California to build their private practice in Parker. They give back to the community through sponsorships and various events. 

“It’s a great community, great people,” Devin says.

In his spare time, Devin is involved in sports, be it watching the NFL or training for a marathon in October. The marathon is in Utah, and he will be joining his friends and nephew in the race. 

“I just wanna challenge myself and do something different,” says Devin, who admits he’s a bit nervous about his first marathon.

Devin says they love their Parker office. Through the years, they’ve been able to grow their practice in ways which aide the customer experience. They’ve already expanded their Parker location by adding more rooms. “We want to be able to accommodate everybody,” he says. 

Devin says they’re still growing and look forward to opportunities to accommodate more patients. And they’re considerate when it comes to scheduling appointments.

“We’re able to keep up with good quality care, and that’s important to me,” says Devin. 

Devin says technology at this practice also sets Stonegate Dental apart. Evidence of this is their Cerec machine, which enables the staff to build crowns in a single visit instead of having to send the work offsite for a multi-appointment ordeal. There’s versatility to what the Cerec machine can do.

“I have the ability to do more than just crowns on it, some bridges, some implants…” 

Devin says he enjoys the impact he’s able to make in people’s lives and in the Parker community. He says the work is satisfying, especially with larger cases where he is doing make-over type work, such as adjusting the form of a smile. But, most of all, it’s important to Devin that every patient is handled with care.

“Treat them like family; that’s what it comes down to,” he says.
